About PerfectBee
With some inspiration from his daughter, Mark Williams founded PerfectBee in 2015 (learn more about our origins here) with the goal of offering a reliable, informative and safe place for anyone interested in honeybees and beekeeping.
Over the subsequent years, PerfectBee has now grown to offer a broad series benefits to new and experienced beekeepers. We offer a combination of beekeeping education through various types of resources and a vibrant community – PerfectBee Colony – in which beekeepers can connect with and help one another. Here are some more details of what we offer.
Beekeeping Education
Our primary goal has always been to help beekeepers learn about beekeeping together. Mark said it best…
“The educational side of what we do is essential. There is an ever-growing curiosity about bees and beekeeping, not just among active beekeepers but in society as a whole. We want to take that curiosity and foster it in a productive way, for the good of bees and pollinators.

We educate people about the benefits, priorities, methodologies and philosophies of beekeeping. But, more than that, it is important that we help our visitors not merely read our information but also understand it and put it in context. With that, they can then make their own informed decisions.
Just telling people to install a hive and practice beekeeping without much thought is irresponsible. But an informed approach to backyard beekeeping positions beekeeping in a really positive light and sets the beekeeper up for success.”

A Beekeeping Community
After founding PerfectBee, Mark also recognized the need for any beekeeper to have access to support and insights from many beekeepers with differing perspectives. That’s why he created a community for beekeepers to come together and share thoughts, insights and experiences with other beekeepers, namely our Colony community. Through membership to our Colony community, members can connect with other members and more experienced beekeepers, gain access to even more beekeeping information with detailed lessons in our Academy syllabus, and so much more. A Place to Find High-Quality Beekeeping Supplies
Though having access to a high-quality beekeeping education is very important, you can’t be a beekeeper without having a reliable source of beehive supplies and equipment, to house and care for honeybees. That’s why we make sure to not just teach you about the supplies and equipment used in beekeeping, we offer it for sale in the PerfectBee Store, shipped right to you!
We also recognize the importance of offering superior products, backed up by awesome customer service. Beehives are outside and subjected to the elements 100% of the time and as such, must stand up to the tests of both time and weather.
We partner with a well-established manufacturer and distributor of beekeeping, in business for over 30 years on the east coast of the United States.
