Unwired Drone Foundation – Deep

When given a foundational guideline that has larger cells, honeybees will build only drone comb there. Since Varroa mites prefer drone brood over worker brood cells, adding these wax foundations with larger (drone-size) cells can be a big advantage to your Integrated Pest Management Plan in the fight against mite infestations, as long as they are used very carefully.
